Coming Spring 2023 – “The Carrier” is a first-person VR180° experience starring Karolina Wydra and Nicholas Massouh. This immersive short film straps viewers into the POV of a baby whose family is trapped in an apocalyptic traffic jam. Unable to move or speak, the audience must watch in vain as their parents make one potentially deadly mistake after another.
Directed by Andrew Cochrane, “The Carrier” represents a creative and technical leap in immersive storytelling – an experiment in form using cutting-edge stereo 180º cameras and previously untested real-time techniques. This film will be available soon on VR headsets via a custom app that further pushes the medium forward with real-time visual and sound effects that react to the viewer’s gaze and deepen the immersion in this harrowing drama.
