Andrew had the distinct honor of being asked by immersive producer extraordinaire Mark Rickard to direct 3 VR dance videos for the Ukrainian dance troupe Light Balance, which has been released as a standalone app in the Oculus store. The creativity, style, and athleticism of these performers are impossible to describe – they are as magical in person as they appear on camera and in VR they are even more impressive. The performances were shot in both mono 180º 8k and stereo 180º 4k so that there was a high-resolution mono and a high-as-possible stereo master of these performances, which provided a lot more flexibility in post and in converting for different viewing formats.
