Intel – “CES Keynote 2018”

Andrew Cochrane directed and Andrew Shulkind shot a piece for Intel’s 2018 CES Keynote to highlight the work being done by their TrueVR group with the live broadcast of immersive video. It was an absolutely massive presentation filled with flying cars, drones, voxels, VR… really it’s worth watching the whole thing.

If you saw some Instagram posts from Shulkind or Cochrane with pictures at a KC Chiefs game, this is what that was all about.

This was the third year in a row that Andrew created something for Intel at CES – previously he directed a live version of the RealSense Dancer piece, and the next year Shulkind and Cochrane teamed up to make a 360º wingsuit video.

The video embedded in this post is a 15min recap, there’s an even shorter 5min version here, the full version is here, and there is a cool behind-the-scenes look at everything that went into this spectacle from the Verge here.
